Eljon Wardally is an award-winning Grenadian Italian-American playwright and screenwriter whose work amplifies underrepresented voices and brings visibility to the unseen. Her play, I Am...a Shepherdess, premiered at the International Black Theatre Festival as part of a commission from the Finding Holy Ground grant. She is the current recipient of the Sylvia Sprinkle-Hamlin Rolling World Premiere Award. Her upcoming play, Blooming in Dry Season, will debut at NC Black Repertory and New Federal Theatre in 2025 and 2026. Wardally’s storytelling is rooted in a commitment to authenticity, compassion, and social relevance. She writes about loneliness, national and family secrets but also has a zest for telling stories with a dark comedic twist. When she's not outlining or brainstorming, she works as a Copywriter in the crazy, wonderful world of Beauty.
